I live 5 mins away from Cal Poly Pomona so I would be able to live at home if I went to Cal Poly Pomona, is UC Merced that much better than Cal Poly Pomona? My goal is to attend for two years and hopefully transfer to cal tech.

This happen to me almost verbatim 3 times when I am walking down the street some where. It happened in Tucson, Arizona , Pomona, California and even Newport Beach.

because like UCLA, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal Poly Obispo, and USC offer the 1st one, and UC Davis, UC Irvine, CSU, and University of San Francisco offer the 2nd one, and i’m really confused.
