and the letter i got said that they could only admit 120 students out of 2000 and that i wasnt admited but i was a wait list canditate; which means that if there is an opening i might be admitted into the program in the next couple months (probably NOT). so i called some lady up and she told me that as a ‘wait list candidate i was automatically admitted on my alternate major. But when i applied i chose alternate major as undecided.
im wondering if its possible to just go into the school as undecided? and when will i have to decide my major? also, if i go to the school for my general ed. can i just switch into architecture later and not be affected? or will that mean that i have to go to the school for extra years because its not my major now? am i better off taking general ed. in a community college and then try applying for architecture??
so basically can i go into the school without a major now or will that ***** up everything and make me have to go to school for extra time?

I got accepted by both of these schools. I’m planning on majoring in Electrical Engineering. I want to go to UC Santa Cruz because its a UC and its on the beach, but I know that CPP is a good engineering school despite being in the Cal State System. I’ve heard a lot of postitive things about UCSC, but I dont’ know how going to CPP is like nor how the city is.
